One of the best British progressive bands of the early '70s, the Strawbs differed from their compatriots — the Moody Blues, King Crimson, Pink Floyd — principally in that their sound originated in English folk music, rather than rock.
Playing such hits as "Lay Down", "Part of the Union" and "Shine On Silver Sun" this classic line up of Dave Cousins, Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk play Strawbs songs with the integrity and musicianship for which the band has always been recognised.
