The Lurios / The Troubadours / The Cavalcades
March begins for Lupine with brotherly indie-power-pop in the form of The Lurios, two sets of siblings that know their way around a tune or two and have done so supporting the likes of The Fratellis and The Enemy. They are young, fresh faced and laced with danceable pistol-toting songs that have energy and an excitable fizzyness to them which has allowed a build up of a bouncing fan base around the country proclaiming them to be the next best thing since the last next best thing.
Support comes from two Wigan bands, firstly The Troubadours, a band who have been mentioned in a ‘What’s Hot’ music column in the Daily Star, whether this is a good thing or not is unknown for now, but has done them no harm in terms of gaining fans and admirers so far with their take on traditional indie pop music with a nod or two at The La’s turn of a phrase and curl of a riff.
The Cavalcades offer up much more of the same thing yet carry a keyboard too. They are slowly building up a decent following around the North West and will be looking to impress tonight.
