Paul Bibby
Showcasing the other side of his musical output for those who only know him from The Volunteers, Paul has recorded fifteen 'Elementals' albums of solo material that takes in classical, drones, loops, daydream instrumentals and soundscapes for the mind. He will be playing a live orchestration set using technical wizardry to create waves of strings, horns, guitar pieces and drums that will was over you like a pleasing tsunami of the ears. Might clear a bit of wax out.

Mat Turner
On the back of completing his solo album, Mr Turner brings his cerebral psychedelic blues folk to the Tavern to blow people's minds with his socio-politic songs about Fat Maggots, Pagan Men and Trout with wings. A well respected singer songwriter of the town, Mat's performances, when he can be coaxed out to play, are known for quality and a hypnotic sense of rapture.

Martin Higgins
Backed by one or two musicians from his band 'The Maladies of Bellafontaine', Martin H spouts his psycho-dreamland poetry, creating verbal grooves and interstellar imagery to the sounds of guitars and cello. One to watch.
DJ Sean 'The Knife' Stanley will be playing jazz, blues, and other curiosities throughout the night.
Art
Local artists and photographers who have had work published or shown in The Mental Virus will be displaying various pieces.
Poetry
Local poets may have the chance to read one or two works out if they so wish in between bands.
Film
A variety of films will be shown in numerous locations of the building. Expect Svankmejer, Lynch, Warhol, etc.
The Zaireeka Zone Experiment
[Some text taken from Wikipedia, I'm feeling lazy]
Zaireeka is the title of the eighth studio album by the alternative rock band The Flaming Lips. Released in 1997, the experimental rock album consists of four compact discs. Each of its eight songs consists of four tracks, one from each CD. The album was designed so that when played simultaneously on four separate audio systems, the four CDs would produce a harmonic or juxtaposed sound. The discs may be included in different combinations, omitting one, two or three discs. The album's title is a portmanteau of the words Zaire (symbolizing anarchy, based on Wayne Coyne's hearing of a radio news story about the political instability of the African nation of Zaire) and eureka (representing new ideas).
Pushing the concept of interactive listening into new realms of possibility, the listener will enter the Zaireeka Zone and be faced with four sound systems, each with one of the four cds inside. It is then up to the listener to experiment with the music; playing some cds and not other, delaying start times; between combining the discs and toying with volume, balance, fidelity, etc., the options are truly limitless. No two multi-disc performances can be repeated.
