We are happy to announce that from a list of more than 4000 bands we have been shortlisted to the final 14 to compete in the final of this years Road To V competition.

We will be performing at the Carling Academy in Liverpool in early May and the gig will be filmed for Channel 4 and televised with the overall 2 winners going on to open this years V festival.

The winners will be decided by a panel of judges including Tim Burgess of The Charlatans.

We should be getting the free tickets for the gig very soon so get your names down for one and come and support us. You might even get your ugly mugs on the tv!

We found out yesterday that it goes down to 4 before they pick the final two so we've a pretty good chance of making that stage at least...

Then there's some filmed practices etc... filming bands getting giddy and pissed etc... Then they crush the dreams of 2 of them.

Just reading the previous posts on this and you've said that it's going to be on Channel 4. Let us know when, it'd be good to see.

The show runs for 9 weeks leading up to the festival... Probably 5 shows from the 5 gigs and then some more stuff leading up to picking the winners...

So it should start in June.
