Clocks
It's a pity we're heading into the middle of November as Clocks have that sun-filled melody thing going on. Never mind, there's much to enjoy on these cold nights with wonderful harmonies lost in the ultra-violet light, all 'waa-oo's, with the juxtaposition of bands like the Zutons, the Coral and Shack meshing with the Magic Numbers' sense of a tune. They had a single out in August and have had plays on BBC Radio. They are a band for anyone with a love of a melody, a nice song or two with glorious harmonies and nice skipping beats.

The Aclyrics
An indie-ska band with a penchant for Clashertine rhythms and eccentric tics. They have a nice erratic pace about them and a few coy punk oi's. A gang that likes to sing about girls, going out, good times and who would love a messy mosh-pit of devoted kids to dive into at the end of their gig. Could get chaotic.

Si Fox
A stalwart of Wigan, Simon Fox has an arsenal of songs from punk to acoustic. He was the main focal point of Bushack and the Outsiders but it's at his acoustic gigs where his song writing quality comes through most. He has a strong vocal that can be both haunting and harsh at times and has written one of the best songs about a hangover in 'Fragile'. Catch him tonight and you're in for a rare treat.
